Update on Ryan + edit

I have been wondering if I should blog about this... It wasn't something I really wanted to do but at this point I know there have been a lot of unanswered phone calls, texts and emails. I apologize for that. It has been hard to keep on top of it. And for that I truly am grateful. Thank you so much for your love and support. Knowing you have family and friends who love you and are praying for you makes any trial bearable.
This is the latest:
Monday morning Ryan came home from work sick. He had a fever. I gave him some Tylenol and sent him upstairs. Almost 24 hours later he still had not gotten out of bed and had not eaten anything. I brought him up some toast and demanded he eat. I put Jayden down for a nap.. switched the laundry and heard a big thump from upstairs.
I assumed at the time that some furniture had fallen over. After going upstairs I saw Ryan was no longer in bed. I checked the bathroom to see if he had fallen and he wasn't thre either. Finally I looked in Jayden's room where Ryan was laying on the floor half naked. He had just collapsed. I asked him what he was doing and he said "going to the party" I asked him who I was and if he knew where he was. He didnt. I called 911 and they arrived shortly.
Ryan was completely delusional. At the hospital he couldn't remember my name. He mentally was not there. he would say rubberish. It was really hard. His fever was 103-104. His blood pressure low. His pulse high. They started sooo many tests. Spinal tap, CT Scan, chest xray... they did not know what was going on. After the CT scan they determined he had an infection in the brain and started him on antibiotics. Ryan stayed delusional and confused throughout the night.
Today it was determined that the infection may actually be coming from the blood. They scheduled and MRI and also ordered an EKG (Something to sort of view the heart). After the EKG it was determined Ryan has an abnormality in his heart. They don't know if it's a tumor or a blood clot. They can't do an MRI until tomorrow. If it's a blood clot they can't give him blood thinners until they kill the infection. But they still are not 100% sure what the infection is.
Right now if he has a blood clot he is at a high risk for a stroke. We are praying the blood clot doesn't go to his brain. If it does he will have a stroke. Unfortunately it cannot be treated until they are able to figure out what it is.
So to be honest I don't know what it is. And I don't know what or if we need anything. I think it is good news that we now that there is an abnormality in the heart and I hope and think it's something treatable.
We should have answers tomorrow when they are able to do an MRI on the heart. From that point I'm not sure what will happen. It depends on the news.
Ryan is doing well. When he gets a fever (Which is happening pretty often) he turns into a crazy. Living in alternate realities. He is still sarcastic though so I know HE is still there... somewhere :) So sometimes he'll be completely with you... and then he'll be gone... but it's a big improvement from last night.
Thank you so much for your prayers.. your love. your support.
I think everything is going to be okay. I know we'll be able to handle whatever this throws at us. I will try to keep this updated.. but depending on the outcome it may take a while.
Thank you again. For those I haven't responded to yet I am really sorry. I will try to make contact soon.

**edit**
Sorry I meant to answer a few questions:

*Ryan is at UofU Hospital. He is the the NCCU (Neurological Critical Care Unit). Because it's critical care he cannot have visitors. Not even Jayden can see him :( (Only immediate family but nobody under 10)

*I was just with him around midnight and he was very alert with his fever down. His short term memory is shot can't remember anything past 3-4 months ago. Still thinks it's June. He has a nurse who is monitoring him in his room the whole night. If the blood clot seperates and goes to the brain.. bad news.

*I have informed his work- and they have been willing to work with us even though Ryan gave his two weeks already! Yipes! If there is an infection in the blood it's due to a cut he got at work which means workers comp... Wouldn't that be nice?

*Jayden is doing well. He hasn't seemed to notice. My mom is watching him in the mornings and I have had friends come over (Thank you!) tonight to watch him while I was in the hospital. I may need some additional help depending on how long Ryan is in the hospital.. and whether or not they will ever let Jayden see him. Thank you for the offers.

*My diabetes has been okay. Not really GREAT. The stress has been kind of knocking my numbers everywhere- but I'm not too worried about it. I think it'll be just fine.
