Fourth Of July

Jayden's first Fourth was great :) I remember watching the fireworks last year anxiously waiting for Jayden's arrival. I was trying to imagine him being there with us... It was cool to have my dreams come to pass :)

Ryan's (immediate and extended) family has a tradition of going to Layton to see the fireworks. Ryan and I have gone with them the last 3 years. It's always an amazing show. We usually go there around 5 to get good parking and stay till 10:30 when the fireworks end.

This year my cousin came home from his mission and his homecoming/ my other cousins farewell was celebrated by a picnic at my Aunt and Uncles House. Jayden enjoyed being held by everyone.

The thing I love about my family (immediate and extended) are the songs they sang to me when I was little- they now sing to my little baby. Here is my Aunt Kathy singing "Trot little pony, trot to town.. Trot little pony... don't... fall... DOWN!" as Jayden was bounced on her leg. He anticipated the "Fall down!" part.

Jayden and Great Grandpa... I love it :)

Looks good for being a great grandpa, huh??

And here we (Jayden) are in Layton waiting for the fireworks to begin:

Ryan tried to surprise Grandpa by dropping Jayden in front of him. Grandpa got a major drooling. If you click on the picture to enlarge you can see what is about to happen... I have way too much time on my hands at work :)

I don't know the "trot little pony" song. Will you teach it to me?

The drool seriously made me laugh out loud! Who did he get THAT from? ;)
