Lots of stuff going on...

These last few weeks have been crazy to say the least. The fact that it has been so nuts has been good as time has just been flying by... I don't mind that :)

As for updates- last time I updated I had just had a Dr. Appt and I mentioned my Blood pressure was a little high. My Dr. wasn't too worried about it but he told me to call if it got to a certain number. Well- the night I blogged- around 11:30 p.m. my blood pressure got to that magic number :) It was super high. I called the Dr. on call and he wanted me to come in to the hospital and stay overnight so they could keep an eye on me. I was freaking out. Ryan wasn't home- and I didn't want to pay for a hospital stay. Nor go there by myself. I took a warm bath and tried some different breathing techniques... and after about a half hour my blood pressure went back to normal. So I didn't end up going to the hospital. I hope the Dr. wasn't waiting for me!
Anyway since that night I have been keeping a real close eye on my blood pressure. I have had to calm my life down quite a bit- and rest a lot more. It has been hard to do. :( I have another Dr. appt on Wednesday. Hopefully all goes well.

The other thing that has made these last few weeks CRAZY is the job situation. A few months back we went out and celebrated that Ryan's employment contract had been extended for 10 years. We were so excited. A few weeks later we were told that the government was having a hard time making up their mind and there was a possibility that Ryan would lose his job in a month. Ryan's supervisor pulled some strings and got him another job on base- same contractor but it was SUPPOSEDLY going to guarantee him another year of employment. So Ryan's job changed- he started working swing shifts so I never see him :( That has been hard.
A week ago a final decision was made. Ryan was going to lose his job this Thursday. They had another contractor who was going to try to take Ryan on- but our insurance would change to a HORRIBLE plan and we were both having a really hard time with this. We were really hoping Ryan would be able to stay. Many tears were shed. Mainly mine :)
But that's not the end of the story. :) Friday morning we got a call from one of the higher-ups of Ryan's company. They asked him if he would be interested in a job with them. The only catch- he wouldn't start till July. Ryan said yes. So this means a couple of things- Our insurance would stay the same for the birth of our baby :) Yay!! But Ryan will either be jobless for a month- or he'll be given a temporary position from for a month. We're hoping for the later!!! Of course nothing is for sure yet. We probably won't have any real details till Tuesday... Hopefully we'll have good news. We have been really blessed to be able to have employment for this long.
My work schedule changed today- I work from Tues-Fri from 11am-5 pm. Hopefully Ryan will start working days. I may finally be able to do stuff for the next couple of months :)

In other news...
Ryan has been working really hard on our backyard. He's almost done with our sprinklers.

My mom, brothers, sister and possible future sis in-law came over to help us with the rocks. They were a HUGE help!! Love you guys!!!

And I have been working on the baby room!!! Here are some before and after pics of the paint job. I think it turned out really well.

AND AFTER:

We're just waiting for the crib... should come by mid-June. I have some cloud and airplane wallies...and some shelves- soon the final product will be done :)

And to end- my 30 week belly shot:

It sounds like you've got things under control w/ your blood pressure, but if you ever need some one to take your B.P. I have a cuff, just call me.

That's a cute picture of you. I think it totally stinks that right when you're supposed to be keeping your blood pressure down (okay, so I know that you/we should always be trying to keep our blood pressure down, but you know what I mean... ) Ryan's job has so many ups and downs. That must make it pretty difficult. I hope that it all works out.
The nursery looks great with the drapes and chair rail and everything. This weekend I'll come over to see it in person. And I'll do it on one of your new days off. Woohoo! I'm so excited :)
